Can Joan is a tribute to Grandpa Joan, a man deeply attached to the land, the animals and the landscape that had watched him grow. A livestock farmer by trade, tireless worker and passionate gardener, he devoted his life to tending animals, working the land and keeping alive a way of life closely tied to nature and to the seasons of the year. Later, in retirement, he discovered a new passion: painting. Precisely in the space now occupied by this apartment's main bedrooms, he would spend long hours contemplating the views over the Vall d'en Bas and the mountain of Falgars, landscapes he often captured on canvas. Some of those paintings still hang in the house today as a testimony to that unhurried, sensitive gaze on the territory.

Can Joan preserves the essence of that space. The original stone walls and wooden beam structure kept during the restoration bring character, authenticity and a warm atmosphere that connects past and present.
